Edridge Contracting has worked on a wide range of projects over the last 30 years in some demanding conditions and timelines. We pride ourselves on achieving a great outcome for our customers while ensuring we always operate in a safe and environmentally sustainable manner. Some of our previous projects include:
Hill Street Subdivision
Lead contractor on a recently completed subdivision in the Richmond Hills. This was a steep site requiring significant earthworks, soil testing, stabilisation, pavement construction, stormwater, sewer & water services installation.
SH6 Rai Saddle Realignment
Subcontracted by Downer NZ as the lead heavy earthworks provider for this project. Edridge Contracting was responsible for the cut to fill, drainage and road pavement construction. Edridge Contracting also crushed, supplied aggregates using their mobile crushing equipment and laid all pavement gravels using GSP controlled machinery.
Wensley Subdivision
Domestic subdivision in Richmond requiring a large amount of kerb and channel, concrete footpaths, and vehicle crossings. Edridge undertook all preparations including installation of 200mm AP65 sub grade and 150mm M4AP40 basecourse. The team were also responsible for laying topsoil and finishing the site to a high standard for their developer client.
NCTIR BR129 - Kaikoura Earthquake Repairs
Edridge Contracting was the main heavy earthworks contractor for NCTIR on the northern portion of the Kaikoura rebuild. They undertook immediate slip removal to provide temporary access before leading a significant project which involved cut to fill, pavement, aggregate production and bridge construction for bridge 129.
Drylands Tank Farm Stage 2
Constellation Brands are the second largest producer of wine in the Marlborough region. The works involved stripping of a large area, undercut and preparation of the subgrade for the tank farm. Installation of the drainage and the internal roading network around the tank farm.
Marlborough Roads Local & SH Overlays
A design and build overlay on State Highway 6 providing stabilised patch repairs, traffic management during shoulder widening and 100mm overlay and surfacing. Edridge Contracting produced and supplied all aggregates, which were laid and finished using GPS guided grader and Trimble survey equipment to create a great outcome for this project.
NZTA Butterley Bridge
Delivery of the new Butterley bridge which involved abutment construction, guardrail installation, power and phone realignment, temporary roading, laying of new pavement and river erosion protection through the use of gabion baskets and rip rap rock placement.
Westview Subdivision
Marlborough District Council Drainage work taking place at Westview Subdivision using GPS guided machinery.
Marlborough Roads Local & SH Milling, Stabilisation & Maintenance Grading
Edridge Contracting is subcontracted by Fulton Hogan/Hebs JV to provide sealed road stabilisation and patching, unsealed roading maintenance and grading.
